Celebrating life is the premise of uppseedaisees. That, and comfort.
Oh, and a style that their fans -- or as uppseedaisees' creators call
them, "girlfriends" -- term as fun, hip, and unique. Since the line was
launched in the year 2000, the Birmingham-based uppseedaisees
loungewear company has grown from the buzz in 'Bama to the news in New
York. Celebrities like Rosie O'Donnell and Courteney Cox-Arquette have
taken note of the line, which was created out of necessity by our
founder Leslie after her first child was born.
Longing for loungewear that combined support, comfort and style, Leslie
combed the globe and came up with zilch. So she and her girlfriends
relented to design and make their very own line of pajamas and robes
that could go from the sink to the salon, without soliciting scowls from Birmingham society matrons.
uppseedaisees designs, creates, manufactures and sells women's
loungewear that is uniquely modern, sophisticated, youthful,
imaginative, comfortable and versatile.
uppseedaisees are for young mothers, housewives, students and active
older adults who desire to
augment their wardrobes with articles that are "hip" but not trendy,
modest but not matronly, tasteful but not staid, and fun but not
flippant. Truly, there's nothing else like it.
The line has gained national attention in part by gaining good press in
publications like Women's Wear Daily, US Weekly and Young and Modern,
and by appearing in gift baskets for programs such as the Daytime Emmy
Awards, the Grammy Awards and the Rosie O'Donnell Show. The perky
peejays made an appearance on the Friends episode "The One Where
Chandler Takes a Bath" or as we prefer to call it, "The One Where
Monica wears uppseedaisees." With more on the horizon, there's bound to
be a queue of the rich and famous -- and the not-so -- forming to
snatch upp some 'daisees of their own.'
